Welcome Kate Kerrigan is an Irish historical fiction author whose books are translated into several languages and sold all over the world. Her novels - Recipes for a Perfect Marriage, The Miracle of Grace, Ellis Island and its sequel City of Hope all follow Kate’s theme of drawing parallels between the emotional landscapes of women’s lives in the past with the way women live now. She is currently writing the third in the Ellis Island trilogy - Land of Dreams for publication in 2012. Kate’s home is Killala, a fishing village in County Mayo, on the west coast of Ireland where she lives with her husband and two young sons. Kate is a full time writer but she is also a keen blogger, writes a weekly column for the Irish Mail and has a passion for both cooking and eating Irish recipes! On sunny days she can be seen travelling around Ireland in her Bedford Bambi camper which she has pimped into a traditional Irish parlour. From here she sometimes holds festival events - inviting people in for readings and tea in her Good Room!
